Pension am Weinberg Heidi Spinner

Heidi and Herr Spinner replied quickly to our emails and were happy to answer questions in person, too. The guesthouse was beautiful, the area was lovely, and our room was spotless. We appreciated having a coffee machine, fridge, kettle, and dishes for breakfast. Just a heads-up, they don’t take cash, so be prepared to pay by credit card. We’d worried about getting to the Black Forest without a car, but the train to Achern and then a local bus made it quite manageable. The bus runs about 1-2 times per hour, and we couldn’t find the timetable on Google. We also managed to do lots of things in Sasbachwalden without a car, sometimes using the free bus ticket that came with our stay.

Lovely place in a great location. The staff were friendly. I’d recommend it.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in for a while.

For a morning walk with my dog, the location was perfect: step outside and you’re immediately in the greenery. The house is right on the edge of Sasbachwalden, with lots of varied hiking nearby, along with plenty of restaurants and inns. The owner gave me a warm, friendly welcome, and the room was comfortably furnished with a fantastic balcony view of the vineyards. There’s no breakfast offered, but that wasn’t a problem. A bakery with a wide selection is just a two-minute walk away, with an Edeka supermarket directly opposite that’s open 24/7 and well stocked. The house also has a good choice of hot drinks, plenty of dishes, and a large guest fridge, so everything’s there to put together a nice breakfast. I spent an extended hiking weekend here and everything was absolutely perfect. I’ll definitely come back for another hiking weekend and would love to ask about rooms at Pension am Weinberg.
