We'd happily stay here again. The apartment was a delight, with a cozy living room and an incredible view. The balcony sits just a few meters from the sea, right above the promenade. Inside, there's a private sauna, plus both a bathtub and a walk-in shower. The one snag was that we didn't get the parking key or the details about paying the remaining amount in cash when we arrived.

The apartment is spacious, nicely furnished, and has room for the whole family. The kitchen has the essentials, including a kettle, toaster, cooktop, and oven, and the beds and seating were comfortable. You can step straight out to the promenade or into the old town, and the sea view from this spot on the Sassnitz old-town promenade is a real highlight. There were some letdowns, though. The listing mentions underfloor heating, but it wasn't working; when we asked, we were told it was turned off for summer. The DVD player was already broken before we arrived. The toilet paper and kitchen rolls were poor quality, especially for a place presented as luxurious. There was no bottle of water waiting for us either, which would have been handy after arriving when you may not have had a chance to shop. The washing machine is listed as part of the accommodation, but it's outside the apartment and belongs to the owner, not the landlord. Everyone in the building shares one washer and one dryer, so you have to wait if they're in use. Both machines cost €2 for two hours, then switch off.

That sea view is wonderful, and you can hear the water around the clock. The terrace beach chair and the lockable parking spot, less than 50 meters away, were also good points. But on arrival we had to unload the previous guest's dishes from the dishwasher, and there was no running water. The shower only had cold water, so we used the bathtub instead. Evenings were frustrating if you wanted TV: there were only about seven cable channels, and some had no sound. The setting by the water made up for some of it, but not the other problems, especially given the price.

We felt right at home in this lovely apartment. It has great amenities and a beautiful sea view.
