The beds were really comfortable and the place was clean, which made for a lovely, relaxing weekend. It’s peaceful, with no traffic noise or bustle, but the bakery, harbor, beach, and trails into the nature reserve are all walkable. The landlord was friendly and easy to deal with. Thank you so much!

For us, the small details make the difference. The owner clearly takes care with things like fresh, fragrant kitchen towels and a clean kettle, and the guesthouse was spotless and welcoming. It had everything needed for a comfortable stay. It’s a quiet, peaceful base in an uncrowded town, with shops within walking distance, so you can relax without giving up convenience. The owner was very friendly and communicative. We’re sorry we don’t speak German, because we could probably have talked for ages. We’ll practice, or get a better translator :) and come back. We mostly choose smaller guesthouses, and it’s rare to find one this clean and welcoming. If you want a place with soul, where peace, cleanliness, and hospitality come together, we wholeheartedly recommend it!

The harbor is nearby, and the little streets have a special charm that makes you want to wander and linger. The host couple have put lots of care into the well-maintained, lovingly furnished apartments. They’re very clean and have everything you need, with a cozy feel that made for a relaxing holiday. We felt very comfortable.

The location on Weddingstraße is wonderfully quiet. It’s a dead-end street with no through traffic, and a set of steps gets you to the chalk cliffs and Jasmund National Park in just a few minutes on foot. There’s a free pool table, which I think is great, and barbecuing is limited to a designated spot in front of the building so cooking smells don’t drift through the whole neighborhood. That seems sensible. The apartments are very clean and neatly furnished, though the outdoor area is small and very nicely situated. A privacy screen is all that separates you from neighbors sitting right behind you. There are only two chairs, a table, and one lounge chair out front, so I’d have liked more garden furniture. After long excursions, I also missed having a footstool to put my feet up. The kitchen has everything else but no microwave or oven. The bathroom is very nice, but the counter space is too limited. I can recommend the place if you’re fine with those constraints.
