Once you're there, it's more than okay. The rooms are cozy and clean, and the location is hard to beat. It's modern, with just the right old-timey touch. Check-in is 16:00 by default, which feels a bit late, though I bet it can be negotiated. More of a problem, at least one person who gives out the keys doesn't speak English. If you don't speak German, I'd suggest calling the owner directly.

Everything was provided, and the accommodation was clean and well organized. The vacuum cleaner had no power cord, though, so we couldn't use it. In my opinion, the elevator smelled unpleasant because it didn't get enough fresh air.

I've lived here continuously for over three months, and you really can get a room with a sea view and deer coming right up to the house. I'm not exaggerating, my word of honor. The quiet setting is relaxing, and the well-furnished apartments suit solo travelers and families alike. The house is about a 15-minute walk from the train station, with a bus stop right outside and parking at the house. Netto/Rewe and good shopping options are nearby, as are a dentist and general practitioner. There's a washing machine in the basement for a small fee. The sea is about 500 meters away, and you really have to go to the harbor, if only for the delicious fish sandwiches. 😉

Staying in Sassnitz makes it easy to get out on excursions. Jasmund Park is right next door, and you can walk to the beautiful chalk rocks at Königsstuhl. But the accommodation itself felt really cramped, almost uncomfortable, and the price-quality ratio wasn't what I expected. It costs 1000,-/day/person.
