What stayed with me most was how kindly the hotel handled a family loss. I’d booked another visit to see my uncle, then learned he had passed away. Even though the reservation couldn’t normally be refunded, I explained what had happened and they quickly canceled it at no charge. I’m very grateful. They clearly care about people when life takes an unexpected turn. I’d also stayed there once in July 2025 while traveling from Geneva to visit him in central Germany, with my young baby. We got in close to midnight, and my third-party booking wasn’t in their system despite the confirmation on my phone. The staff were apologetic and understanding, especially with a tired baby in tow, and sorted out a room quickly without making things stressful. Breakfast was excellent, and everyone I met was friendly and efficient. I’d wholeheartedly recommend the hotel.

Breakfast had lots of choice and was very good. The only letdown was that the restaurant was closed, though we found enough alternatives nearby. We had three adjoining rooms, all of them nice, in this cosy hotel with lovely rooms. Arriving late wasn’t an issue. It was warm inside, but opening a window made it comfortable. I’d read comments about the shades, but the shutters darkened the rooms nicely. We’d definitely come back.

A handy place to break up the drive to Italy, just five minutes from the highway. Our rooms were clean and roomy, and we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to junior suites. The hotel has been renovated recently. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner, and would stay again.

We got here early this year, so had time to wander around the quiet village. It feels like a typical southern German town, with farms near the hotel and a shop across the road selling fresh produce and wine. We stayed one night on the drive home from Tuscany. The rooms were modern and extremely clean, the staff were very friendly, and the food was amazing.

The peaceful setting gives you lovely views from the room, away from the bustle of downtown. Our deluxe room had a balcony, plus a beautiful modern bathroom with a glass shower and heated flooring. The hotel has been renovated and looks great. The staff made us feel welcome, and the food was delicious. Highly recommended.
