A really nicely furnished holiday apartment, and it’s close to the beach.

The apartment is just a few meters from the beach, and the separate annex gives you a real sense of having your own space. Outside there’s a large table and a beach chair, with part of the area covered so you can sit out even when it rains. The place was quiet and felt like home, and the service was excellent. Getting the key and settling in was completely straightforward. It’s thoughtfully furnished and has much more charm than many apartments that feel thrown together. We were pleasantly surprised. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom has a walk-in shower, and there’s a sliding door between the living room and the bathroom/toilet. One bedroom has a skylight facing the living room instead of an outside window. You enter through double glass doors with curtains from the covered terrace. Parking is in a designated area a few meters away on the beach road, so you’ll need to carry bags and suitcases about 50 meters. The large Rewe supermarket is only a few minutes on foot and has great opening hours, including Sundays. There are two restaurants in the main building. Right across from the path to the apartment, a beach bar serves light meals and drinks. They give you a pager when you order, so you can wait on the beach in one of the swings, deck chairs, or other seats they provide until the food is ready. We spent a week in Haffkrug, which has had a striking new pier since October 2024. It’s lit at night and has sun loungers. Lübeck and Grömitz are nearby, so it’s a quiet place to stay while still being close to somewhere livelier. There’s not much else here beyond coffee and cake, food, and a little shopping, but with the sea and beach right outside such a lovely place, who needs more?

We had a great stay, and the garden was beautifully kept. There was plenty of room in the apartment for our group of 6 adults and 3 dogs. A few more hooks and shelves in the bedrooms would’ve helped. Whenever we had a question or needed something, our contact person was kind and reliable. It’s a great location and I’d highly recommend it. The one thing that shocked us was how much the dogs cost.
