If you're coming to rest and enjoy the scenery, this place might suit you. For a busy work trip, though, it's difficult, especially if you need help early in the morning or late at night. The staff ranged from very rude to okay, and most had limited English. At 6:55am, after I searched around the lobby for someone before rushing to catch my flight, I asked reception a question and someone shut the door in my face. They did it rudely in English, so language didn't seem to be the issue. English menus, pamphlets, or guides were hard to find too, so keep internet access handy for translating with Open AI, Google Image, or something similar. Breakfast was good, though not great. The espresso was okay but cold, so drink it right away. Room service was okay as well, but not what I'd expect from a listed four-star hotel. The duvet and towels were comically small and trimmed down, the kind of size you wouldn't expect even at the tiniest hotels by Eiffel Tower in Paris. I'm not sure why they were so stingy, and even after three days I couldn't get more towels. There was an extra duvet in the cupboard, but it didn't have a sheet. The room cleaning was limited too. Whatever note I hung on the doorknob, whether "Do not Disturb" or "Clean the Room", they came in and tidied the bed a bit, but wouldn't add Body Cream, change or bring towels, or replace the bottle of water I'd used the first night. The room had no visible replacement water except possibly by the trash. My fridge was empty, so on my second day I had to take water from the visiting office because I knew the hotel wouldn't provide any and I had no time to shop. There's no kettle, teabag, or coffee maker in the room, which was a real limitation given the food hours: lunch only from 12-1:30pm, perhaps a snack in the late afternoon, and dinner only until 9pm. There was no option before or after those times. If you miss the hours, that's it. Based on the German information in the room, you might be able to reserve a cab from the neighboring town, Lindenburg, in advance. But reception told me verbally there were no taxis or Uber, only a bus. It's hard to know how that works with the uphill and downhill roads you can't see on your phone, no matter how hard you search. There was no reception, room service, or anything else available from 10pm to 7am, so there was no support if you needed something. Breakfast starts at 6:30am, meaning you can make it through the last 30 minutes of that gap. If you're already in bed around 9pm, have a car, or have already bought a whole shell of water, and bring extra towels, drinks, snacks, and perhaps a full suitcase of supplies, you should be fine. I wouldn't recommend it for a business trip with just a small carry-on and laptop. Options nearby are limited, but you might find a place closer to somewhere walkable, with shops, drinks, and dinner, or someone within a 2km radius who could help, rather than walking downhill and uphill in February rain and cold. Also, the main entrance is locked for late arrivals. I'm not sure what time the curfew is for regular arrivals, but you need your room keycard to use the side door.
