The hotel, its location, and the staff were all great. Make sure to use the Harz bus pass to explore the park and nearby villages.

We liked this place so much that we came back for a second visit. It's freshly renovated, with a cozy dining area and a great spot in lower Schierke. Everything is within walking distance, including the ice skating arena, where we had a lot of fun just five minutes away. Breakfast was nice too.

I found the Bodeblick by chance while touring, and its quiet, picturesque location is superb. My room was spacious and well appointed, with a comfortable bed and good heating. There was no towel or soap, but I had brought my own. The restaurant was fully booked, yet they made a table for me and told me when to come in. I'm glad they did. The trout was delicate and well cooked, and the local vegetables were very good. They welcomed me and looked after me thoughtfully despite being so busy. The restaurant was the best part. It would make a good base for a touring holiday or a night or two while walking.

A great hotel with a lovely room, a very good restaurant, and really friendly staff. You can get a Covid test at the hotel, with a certificate valid for 24 hours.
