We've stayed at Pension Schmidt twice and enjoyed it both times. With our little family, we were given a free upgrade to a lovely apartment with a small kitchenette when we arrived. Breakfast and coffee were nice, and there's a grocery store right across the street. There's also a small sledding hill near the bus station.

Fine for a brief stay, though breakfast could be better.

A cozy spot, and the breakfast was delicious.

The bed felt too hard for us, but everything else made for a lovely short break at Pension Schmidt. It's in a central spot for hikes to the Brocken or Wurmberg, with restaurants and a supermarket close by. The hosts were very friendly and always ready to help. We enjoyed the outdoor seating area, and breakfast was excellent, especially the sausage and rolls.

After a long, tough hike, my son and I felt completely at home at Pension Schmidt. The room was spotless and the service attentive, then we had a delicious breakfast the next morning. We'd gladly recommend this guesthouse and will definitely return. Thank you!
