Gasthaus Maem Restaurant Pension Metzgerei

The food was perfect.

The area is lovely too, and seems like somewhere you could stay for a longer break. I've saved this hotel for future motorbike trips. We stopped here last weekend while riding home to NL from the Alsace, and really liked it. The room was spotless and comfortable, with a bath, and there was a complimentary drink waiting for me. We ate dinner outside and enjoyed it, and breakfast was good in the morning. The staff were very friendly. For the price, it's a great place to stay.

Both times we had dinner here, the food was solid, good, down-to-earth cooking. The service was friendly, and the drive over from the nearby lake hotel was worth it each time.

We had dinner here two nights in a row, with six adults and four kids. Everyone welcomed us warmly, including the owner, and the woman behind the bar quickly hit it off with our grandchildren. The meals were delicious, and the quality of the ingredients and the chef's careful, skilled preparation went beyond what we'd expected. Thanks for two lovely dinners in such a pleasant atmosphere. We'd happily come back if we're in the area again.
