The castle and countryside views were lovely, and the location is handy, close to the autobahn. Our room was clean and comfortable, with enough space for all three of us. We stayed one night on the way home from a ski vacation and arrived late, but the host was ready to make a very nice dinner for us in the restaurant. Breakfast the next morning was excellent too.

We stopped here for a night while heading north on our way home. Dinner on the terrace came with views across the Tauber valley, and there were local specialties to try. The family also makes its own "spirits," which are worth a taste. Our room was modern and had the amenities to match, while the rest of the hotel felt more traditional, or old fashioned. We thought the room price was on the high side, though being close to Rothenburg ob der Tauber is probably part of the reason.

I can't comment on the hotel, but the restaurant is very nice, with great food and a decent wine selection that lets you get away from the terrible local wines. It's not cheap, though, and the owner is extremely rude.

The location is right in the middle of town, so it's easy to walk everywhere. The hotel is cozy, with old wooden rooms. Ours was clean, the staff were nice, and breakfast was good. A pleasant stay overall.
