The apartment stays pleasantly cool in hot weather, and the view is lovely. It's very spacious, the kitchen has everything we needed, including an oven, dishwasher, kettle and microwave, and there are plenty of towels, bedding, toilet paper, detergent and dishwasher tablets. The beds are on the firm side, which comes down to personal taste. The owner is friendly and helpful without being intrusive. It worked well as a base for walking, cycling and other activities, and you can reach the National Park on foot in five minutes. The village has a nice lunchroom and a bakery well worth stopping at. For groceries, Schleiden is the place to go. For a good meal, other than Mayer in Sleiden, you'll need to head to Gemünd or Einruhr. There's lots to do nearby, and I'm really pleased we chose this apartment. The photos I've got aren't the best, so have a look at their website.
