Tom was such a kind, lovely host. We only stayed one night, hoping to get some walks and hiking in at Eifel natural park, and the maps he happily gave us helped us get started on a trail. The house has that picturesque, typical local look, and the decor makes it feel like visiting your country cousin's family home now and then. It was cosy and welcoming. I'd definitely come back.
Tom's is easy to navigate, with signs and instructions all over the place. The decor is lovely, and the tech is top notch, from the fan and chargers to the TV. I was also impressed by how much Tom provides, including drinks, coffee, and all kinds of toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hair ties, toothbrushes, and more. Just a note, the kitchen is shared with the hosts, which didn't bother us at all.
Everything ran so smoothly, from making the reservation to being welcomed at the door and shown around the accommodation. The hosts were the kindest I've ever met. Service deserves 10/5 stars, and I'd definitely recommend Toms Gästehaus if you're looking for somewhere near Gemünd/Schleiden.
The room and organization were both excellent. Honestly, five stars is the only score that makes sense for Tom's Gästehaus.
The host was really thoughtful. It takes a little getting used to sharing a bathroom, but the cat came over for cuddles in the morning.
