The restaurant was excellent, and the harbour location is lovely. It's close to everything. Highly recommend.

The restaurant's fish and chips with fried potatoes were especially good, and breakfast was very good too. Service at breakfast was even better, warm and helpful, and the whole place felt welcoming. It started a little late for people heading to work at 8, but they were able to open 15 minutes earlier. I stayed in Room 1, just inside the entrance. It was small but charming, clean, and thoughtfully laid out. Though not new or modern, I liked that better than a sterile room, and I slept undisturbed. I got a friendly welcome and clear directions when I arrived on October 22, 2018. Parking was arranged on the lawn behind the outdoor area, with three spaces there, or you could use the public parking nearby. Thank you, and keep it up!

On the day of the Schleilichter festival, they told us plainly that our food would take more than an hour, even though a table was free. They more or less suggested we try another restaurant. We thought the honesty was fair.

We were really looking forward to the chef's recommendation on our first vacation day, Sunday, June 25, 2017, around 6 p.m.: cod with vegetables and mustard sauce. The cod seemed fresh, but the cook had put spoonfuls of mustard on it. It wasn't really a sauce. When my wife said there was far too much mustard, we were told that's how the cook always makes it, and that cooks do it differently. What a shame 😌.
