Hotel Hubertus Schliersee

Martin was especially helpful when we checked in and out, and the staff were friendly throughout. The hotel upgraded us to an apartment, which was super luxurious and very clean, something we really value. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back sometime!

This was our first stay at the hotel and apartments, and it won't be our last. Neuhaus/Schliersee is a lovely, quiet lakeside town with wonderful views and scenery. We had a side-facing room in the main hotel, and the apartment was spacious, with a separate bedroom, living area, small kitchenette, large bathroom, and a big balcony. Martin made check-in quick and easy and treated us like family. Everyone we met on staff helped make the holiday feel relaxing and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing, with lots of choices brought to the table. I remember about eight platters: hams, cheeses and cheese spreads, fish dishes, eggs, salads, fruit salads, and yogurt, plus local cake, bread and rolls, fruit juice, coffee, and tea. Neuhaus/Schliersee has plenty of good bars and restaurants, and SlyrsDistillery and cafe is right next door. There's also an honesty bar in the basement stocked with beer, wine, juice, water, and snacks. You list what you take, and it's charged to your room. The late check-in was possible, but the owner left the keys outside in an envelope with all my personal information printed on it, where anyone could access it. I'm not sure they'd heard of data privacy or GDPR. We had a late arrival, but there was no need to include my name, birth date, address, email, and phone number in the envelope. The rooms were clean but quite old-fashioned. Breakfast was plentiful, with lots of vegetarian options, but no buffet; you have to wait for staff to bring plates of food. For vegans, there were only vegetables. Parking was also limited, and the available spaces were very narrow. All in all, I wouldn't stay here again.

Gastehaus Hubertus is a fantastic place to stay. Mr Martin is a great host who makes you feel like you're visiting a good friend. The rooms are comfortable, and breakfast is made with fresh, tasty ingredients. There's also plenty of German cold beer available whenever you need it. I absolutely recommend the place and would love to come back!
