Seehotel Hubertus Schluchsee

The view was nice, but the service was a catastrophe. They didn't even know what cake they were offering. Once was enough for me, and I won't return. We were served at 3 pm, then after an hour they kicked us out without warning.

Being right on the lake gives the place fantastic views, especially from the restaurant at sunset with a glass of wine. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and well kept. The sauna was a nice addition. I had a back problem, and the front desk staff kindly carried my bags. I'm really grateful for that, and would definitely recommend this place.

We went to the restaurant with a few couples. I didn't stay at the hotel. Some wanted to sit inside, while we chose the outdoor seating. Our friends inside had a great experience, but ours was mixed. We were on a semi-tight schedule, so we ordered hamburgers. After 40 minutes, I asked about the food and was told it was coming. Twenty minutes later, I checked again and was told they'd forgotten to put the order in. The burgers finally arrived 15 minutes after that. By then our friends had finished eating and had time to walk around and enjoy the view while we waited. All that waiting for a hamburger! I give the place three stars for the view.

The views of the lake and Black Forest were spectacular, and our visit to Seehotel Hubertus was a lovely surprise. It was a great escape from city life and work stress. Breakfast or a candlelit dinner on the terrace or in the restaurant would both be lovely, with a romantic view of the sunset or, on rainy days, the misty lake. We really enjoyed the sauna and swimming in the lake, even in winter. The food was great, and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to Simone for being so hospitable throughout our stay. We'd be happy to attend your Workshops AGAIN. Thanks so much. We'll definitely come back, and stay longer next time.
