They cancelled our booking through Booking.com messages, which we don't get notifications for, because we hadn't paid through the dodgy-looking link they sent. We only discovered this a few days before the stay. If they'd actually emailed us, the whole thing could have been avoided.

We visit Schluchsee every year, but this was the best place we've stayed on our trips. The modern holiday apartment was worth every penny, with a wonderful lake view and a great location. It was clean and had everything we could need, and the owners were incredibly friendly. Our daughter got treats and a balloon as a welcome gift, while the adults received wine, water, and beer. A wonderful short break.

We stayed in an apartment at the top and found it very comfortable. The lake view from there is magnificent. The landlords gave us a warm welcome and were very friendly. We made plenty of use of the pool and sauna, and felt right at home. Schluchsee and the surrounding area are well worth a visit, and we'd recommend the accommodation too.

We had a wonderful stay in Apartment Black Forest. It was lovely, cozy, and very clean, as were the sauna and pool. The owners are very friendly. There's also a Greek restaurant just 50 meters away that's well worth trying.

The pool area is spacious and modern, and there are lots of excursion ideas for all ages. The town has everything you need. We were warmly welcomed, and everything was clean and modern, with nice regional touches. The kitchen is very well equipped. We'd love to come back.
