Landhaus Gnacke

The Gnacke family made us feel welcome, and our dog was welcome too. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and fresh bread rolls arrived every morning. The service was excellent. We’ll definitely return.

The water is free, and you can request fresh bread rolls for the morning. The rooms are clean, well equipped for a vacation, and have very comfortable beds. There are plenty of hiking trails, and the village has an interesting history. Winterberg is close enough for a day trip. Walking the hills is tiring, but you get to discover a lot along the way. There are two doors that can be locked for security. One small thing: there are no blinds, so headlights from cars show through the curtains at night. It didn’t really bother us.

The Gnacke family handled our last-minute, unplanned changes really well. The place was also a great find for affordable, comfortable accommodation. The ski resorts are a 10-minute drive away, and you can take a route that bypasses Winterberg to avoid the long traffic jams. We’d definitely recommend this guesthouse.

Mrs. Gnacke was so friendly and kind, and she offered to bring us rolls in the morning. We ordered some, and they were waiting on our door in a cloth bag the next morning. Our dog quickly found a spot and felt at home. We found Landhaus Gnacke in Nordenau online by chance while planning a short break, and communication was great from the start. We arrived excited on Monday, March 21, 2022. The apartment was exactly what we’d hoped for, lovingly furnished and absolutely clean, with goodnight treats on the beds. We both felt very comfortable and agree we’ll definitely return. We wish the Gnacke family good health and a full house in the future.
