The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were friendly. We were surprised that housekeeping only came every two or three days, especially with the waste bin needing attention. We spent three nights at the Farchauer Mühle at the end of May, with lovely weather. The spot right on Küchensee lake feels wonderfully romantic when the weather is good, though the hotel and grounds are quite overgrown and wild. There’s a lot of potential here, but it badly needs renovation, which is a shame. Our room was spacious, clean, and practical. The mattresses should be replaced, and a fridge would help since the restaurant and café aren’t always open and the hotel is fairly remote. It is called a “hotel,” after all.

I felt welcome straight away. The hosts were warm and attentive, and they even tailored breakfast to what I like. The view is breathtaking, and they took care of every detail and fulfilled all my wishes. I’d love to return, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.
