The Hotel am Kurpark is in a lovely, cozy spot in the heart of the Black Forest. Breakfast was small but good, though there weren't any vegan options. The room itself was charming and cozy, but the TV didn't work. We found out around 7 p.m. and couldn't get hold of anyone. There's no emergency call system or anything like it. When we told the manager the next day that we were very unhappy, since the TV was included in the rate and we'd tried everything to fix it, he was quite disrespectful. He said it was a hotel, not a hospital, that staff couldn't be available all the time, and that we should have checked the TV before 6 p.m. He also blamed other guests, saying they changed things in password-protected areas. We asked if he could offer compensation because we couldn't fully use the room. He just said no and asked what he could do, since he couldn't change the situation. We also asked for a general emergency number for the house in case something like a blocked toilet happened. We were told those issues would have to wait until the next day, which I find very questionable.
