Getting around on foot was the one drawback for us. The place is quite high up, so if you're arriving by bus you'll face a lot of uphill walking every day, as we did. With a car, it wouldn't be a problem. The host, though, is a wonderful, kind lady, and the rooms were amazing. The view from mine was absolutely stunning, like heaven. I'd definitely recommend staying here and would love to visit again.

The price was the one thing I found hard to overlook. More than €200 for a basic room in this category felt pretty audacious compared with some 4- or even 5-star hotels. Still, we knew the price before booking, the place was almost fully booked, and that's how the market works. After a long drive, two hours of relaxing in the pool made it worthwhile, so I didn't take off any points. The pool was a real highlight, especially since you can theoretically use it all night. Breakfast was delicious, even though the selection isn't huge, and what they do offer is excellent. The hostess was genuinely charming, and I liked being able to take drinks from the refrigerator on the honor system. Thanks again, and all the best!

The mountain panorama was beautiful, and it's conveniently close to Lake Königssee and the Kehlstein Tea House. Our room was clean, breakfast was delicious, and the hostess was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place.
