We were disappointed by the guesthouse. The rooms were small and simply furnished, and everything seemed in need of renovation. The small bathroom was cramped, smelled musty, and hadn’t been cleaned. The landlady came across as overly friendly and very unpleasant. We wouldn’t recommend staying here. We were also immediately reprimanded about where and how to park.

That first welcome really set the tone for my week here. I’d already liked the friendly phone conversation, and the hostess was warm when I arrived and gave me plenty of helpful details about the house and area. She even asked what I preferred for breakfast. I was traveling alone, but got a spacious double room with room for my photography gear and a balcony looking out over the beautiful scenery. The little bathroom with its shower and toilet was adequate, and both the room and house stayed clean. The place has an old-fashioned, almost 1990s feel, which suited me fine. Breakfast chats with the hostess and other guests made it feel homey, and I was very comfortable. If I’m back in the area, I’ll ask about staying again. Thanks to the hostess!

Anyone hoping for a relaxing break without a pushy manner or that fake, intrusive kind of friendliness should stay somewhere else. But if you want dated rooms, bad breakfast, and a nasty hostess, this place is for you.

The view from the balcony is beautiful, and the setting is lovely. The hostess was friendly, helpful, and good to chat with. Our room had a double bed, a table, two chairs, a balcony, and its own shower and toilet. Towels and bedding were provided, and breakfast had to be requested, but the hostess prepared it herself, which I appreciated. We stayed four nights. The heating never got beyond lukewarm, so we dried our clothes in the hallway. The shower needed adjusting, and it took about five minutes for the water to drain. There was no hand soap. Breakfast had no fruit, vegetables, yogurt, or cereal, which made it less varied than at other hotels and guesthouses. Towels and sheets weren't changed, the rubbish was emptied only once, and neither the floor nor bathroom was cleaned during our stay. We paid €320 for the four nights with breakfast included, plus €20 tourist tax, through Booking.de.
