The rooms are roomy and comfortable, and the free buffet breakfast has a lot to choose from: bread, yogurt, fresh fruit, cold cuts, salad, eggs, and cereal. But on our first night there was no hot water for a shower after 10pm, and the WiFi kept cutting out. Reception is only staffed for a few hours in the morning and a few in the evening.

The small bathtub in the bedroom was a thoughtful touch, especially for anyone sensitive to the cold, and it made a real difference to the stay. Staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, and the atmosphere felt comfortable and pleasant. I felt genuinely looked after here.

We came for a family holiday with a child, and it was extremely disappointing. Drunk groups were yelling both inside and outside the hotel all night, and no staff were around to deal with it. We couldn’t sleep at all. This doesn’t feel like a family-oriented place. If you want a peaceful weekend in the beautiful mountains, avoid it at all costs.

The room was clean and everything else was okay. Dinner here was quite disappointing, so just walk 10 min to one of the nearby restaurants instead.

Front desk staff were friendly, and there’s parking at the hotel. The rooms are a little dated but quite clean, though sound carries through the walls. Breakfast was nice, with lots of bread and deli choices. Dinner, on the other hand, was mediocre and quite overpriced. If you open the windows, expect bugs to fly in, even on a top floor. It seems normal here. The walk from the nearest bus stops is short. The 843 stop is closer and flatter than the 840, which only really matters if you’re hauling a lot of luggage up the hill from the 840 stop.
