Really spacious room for the price. Great value.

The rooms are nicely furnished, and they’re made up every day, so it’s lovely to come back to a clean, made bed. The reception staff were warm and took their time answering all our questions. They also gave us lots of information about things to do nearby. A really lovely guesthouse.

The room was in the attic, and during three summer nights there with my 5-year-old son, we couldn’t open the windows for fresh air because none had fly screens. I don’t understand why. There was a fan, but it was too noisy to put up with all night. A hairdryer in the bathroom would’ve been useful too. Since they seem standard these days, we hadn’t brought one. Breakfast preferences had to be marked on a slip when we arrived, and special requests cost extra. The first morning, my son got the wrong cornflakes and my scrambled eggs were forgotten. Everything was fine on day two. The amount was enough for me and my child’s leftovers, but I would’ve liked a separate fruit plate for him. Some kids really do eat a lot of fruit 😉

Fresh fruit was always available at breakfast, and the rooms, with their wooden beams, were cozy and clean. We stayed two nights in mid-July and had nothing but good things to say. It’s a guesthouse run with real care, from reception and the kitchen to the cleaning staff. The atmosphere was personal and wonderful. We’ll be back!
