Hotel Lindenau Inn

The rooms are good, spacious, and have all the amenities. Breakfast was good too, with lots of options, and the building is old but well maintained inside. The owner and service were nice and friendly. Parking, though, was inconvenient, especially with luggage or kids. There are a few steps before you reach the ground-floor lift, which is awkward with heavy bags or a buggy. The parking area is about 150m from the hotel, not right at the property, and you only find that out after booking. It’s an unlit open space at night, and when it rains, moving luggage over the rough ground is difficult. There’s also an extra 13€ charge for it. At night, it’s hard to find parking on nearby streets.

We left the room together one morning to explore the city. When we got back later, 500 euros were missing from my mother’s purse, which she had left in the room. I was staying with my wife, parents, aunt, and mother-in-law, and what should have been a relaxing trip turned into a nightmare. We reported the theft right away, but the staff offered no real help or solution. Nobody followed up, apologized, or tried to investigate. It was a huge loss for us and completely ruined the experience. It’s shocking and extremely upsetting that something like this could happen somewhere guests are meant to feel safe. I’d strongly advise others to be very cautious about staying here.

The hotel and room were tidy, and the price was good. The room wasn’t very big, but it did what we needed, and there was a nice little balcony area for smoking. Communication was good, and the Wi-Fi worked well once we found the details on the wall by the lift. Parking is on a side street if you can find a space. Breakfast is a little pricey at £15 a head. No complaints, and we’ll most likely stay here again if we’re in the area.

We stayed there another night on the way back and had breakfast too. The buffet was quite good for the price. On our first stay, we were upgraded to a really big, nice apartment, with a separate living room and kitchen in a modern style, and the bedroom upstairs. The location was really good, close to stores and restaurants. It was quite hot at night, and we found the air conditioning hard to use. The bathtub had a jacuzzi option, but it didn’t work. Apart from those things, it was a really good stay.
