Hotel Lauer

Ms Lauer is a very kind owner who always does her best to make things work. Breakfast was generous, with plenty of variety. The rooms are a little dated, but clean and perfectly fit for purpose. A wonderful hotel.

Hotel Lauer worked really well as our base for visiting the Frankfurt area, the Rhein valley, and nearby places. It’s outside Frankfurt, but close to the local train station, so there are easy travel options. We drove everywhere, though. We stayed in July 2018 and had a great time. Ms. Lauer was a terrific host, and the experience felt more like a personal B&B than a hotel. The amenities, Wi-Fi, and freshly made breakfast were all excellent. I’d happily recommend staying here when visiting the Frankfurt area.

The lurer makes fantastic meals and the service is very good. I don’t think you’ll find a better salad in Germany, and once you try it, you’ll want more. I’ve tried several of the main dishes here, and every one has been fantastic and consistently good.

For a stopover or a few quiet days, this place works really well: clean room, nice staff, and decent, unfussy food. Some might find the choices limited, but I thought there were enough options, and I’ve seen the same breakfast selection at other hotels. I stayed almost two weeks and couldn’t find anything wrong with the place. I wouldn’t pick it for a fancy holiday, though. I’m not sure what there is to do in Schoeneck in February 🙂
