The food was really good, and we had a nice spot after being seated. I was there with a local German person, too. But the service was horrific: staff were grumpy, rude and abrupt, and pushed hard for tips, which isn't customary in Germany. The drinks also weren't filled to the right level in the glasses, as if they were saving a few cents. It gave us the vibe of a tourist rip-off.

The location and accommodations are beautiful, and the employees were friendly and helpful. We absolutely love the hotel, but getting around was incredibly hard with my elderly, sick parents because there is no lift and every room is upstairs. My father is disabled and asked to use the employee elevator, but they wouldn't let him. Once we arrived, he felt he couldn't leave his room because the stairs were so difficult. If you don't need an elevator, this is the place to stay.

The restaurant was horrible. Cockroaches were the only welcome we got when we came in. Other people who were white, unlike us, arrived after us and were welcomed and had their orders taken right away.

We came back to celebrate our birthdays after having a wonderful time at the castles. At first, the older waiter was very pleasant. But when we paid, we were overcharged, and in front of another customer he aggressively pointed out six times that there was no tip included. It was intimidating and ruined the whole experience.
