The rooms were spacious and good, and I had a balcony looking out at the mountains. It was also very affordable compared with other places.

The standout is the location: cross the street and you’re on the path to the castle, and the view out front was beautiful in the mornings. Food was good, and check-in and checkout were mostly fine. The bed itself was good with a foam topper, but the pillows were awful, basically nonexistent down pillows. We pulled the duvets out of their covers and rolled them up to use as pillows. The room was very old and dusty, and the bathroom brought back memories of a university dorm: tiny and old. There’s no elevator. The skylight let in bright light all night, and we could hear rain tapping on it. At checkout, we handed back the key and the woman grunted, threw the lay in a box, and walked away. The room and bathroom cleanliness were poor, and the overall room quality and amenities were low. Value and atmosphere were average. Safety was good, and the experience options were great. The location is the only reason to book this hotel.

The balcony was the highlight, with a breathtaking view of the castle, and the location made it easy to reach bus stations and Neuschwanstein Castle. Everything was exceptionally clean and beautifully designed, and the facilities were great. I had an amazing stay and would love to come back. Highly recommend!

The vending machine wasn’t working, so even a cold drink wasn’t an option for cooling off. The rooms were boiling hot, with no air circulation, and opening the windows brought in a lot of outside noise. The place was dismal, dirty, dated, and way overpriced. They should close it instead of disappointing guests who need a clean, comfortable place to sleep. Awful. I do not recommend.
