After a long day at Neuschwanstein, we tried the sauna and had a good rest. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was very nice, and the staff were warm and super nice. We arrived late in the afternoon, and one of the staff recognized me as soon as I spoke to her. There’s private parking, and it’s free. One thing to keep in mind: without a car, it’s about a 20 mins walk to find somewhere to eat out.

A quiet retreat from the touristy parts of town, with beautiful views of the Alps. I stayed one night in a clean double room. It was simple but pleasant and peaceful, and the service was prompt and helpful. Breakfast was delicious.

Breakfast is complimentary and has a very wide spread. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well furnished. The location is fantastic, close to the lake and within a nice, medium length walk of neuschwanstein castle.

The free breakfast was so delicious and had everything you could want. The place was clean, and the area was the quietest, most beautiful one I’ve ever stayed in. Highly, highly recommended.

This was the second time my wife and I stayed at Hotel Maximilian, and we once again loved the relaxing atmosphere, the Spa facilities, and the wonderful hospitality from Christina and her Team. Everything has a lovely Bavarian harmony. The staff are ready to help and suggest places to visit depending on how much time you have. There’s plenty around to see. The food is great too: simple dishes made with very good ingredients. As Italians, we’re known to pay “big” attention to that. We hope to return soon, visit this beautiful country in a different season, and relax again at Hotel Maximilian.
