Parkhotel Schwarzenberg - Garni

We slept well here because it was so quiet. The views were lovely, and both the hotel and the surrounding area were beautiful.

The main drawback was smoke coming from the balconies into our room. It didn’t bother us, though it could be an issue for someone else. The hotel is clean and in a lovely setting, and the friendly staff made the stay pleasant. Breakfast had a good choice and great rolls. Coffee and tea were free throughout the day, with other drinks at reasonable prices.

Getting here by car means dealing with a very narrow road and a 30% incline. If that’s not for you, you can leave the car at the bottom and walk the last 300 meters. The hotel itself is wonderful, furnished with care, and has lovely rooms with good, roomy beds. Breakfast was excellent, the staff very friendly, and the price was good for what we got.

We first visited 12 years ago and have now come back, just as impressed as before. The nature views are beautiful, and there’s a lovely fireplace lounge. It’s easy to reach the city center, and the Ore Mountains have fabulously beautiful excursions for anyone after adventure. For a few quiet, relaxing days, it works well too. Our room was clean and very nice, and breakfast had a wonderful range of choices. Everyone was friendly, from reception and breakfast service to the chambermaid. Coffee and tea are free around the clock, and other drinks are fairly priced. Very good value. We recommend it and will definitely return. Thanks so much ❤️ Keep up the good work!
