This is a lovely find in central Schwerin, and a nice base for exploring the city. The rooms are clean and pleasant, and seemed to have been recently renovated. Breakfast in the grand hall was quite an experience. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend the hotel.

The rooms were clean and practical, and everyone we met was friendly. Breakfast was good, too. Schwerin Castle and the main station are both about a 15-minute walk away. If you’re a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the street. Good value for the money.

The reception staff were friendly, and the location was very good. But our old bathroom and toilet caused a really bad smell that stayed in the room the whole time. We had to leave the window open constantly, even when it was too cold. That was the one thing that bothered us a lot. We were in room 204, so check this before you take a room.

We’d definitely like to come back. The room was clean, and the bathroom had a very modern feel. Breakfast was excellent, served in a lovely 19th-century dining room. It’s a charming historic hotel, close to the water and Schwerin’s center.

The place was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. It’s right in the center, which was handy. A fan was the one thing I missed. A lot of German hotels still don’t seem to have adjusted to warmer northern European summers.
