Zweirad Hotel Lenne

The restaurant was excellent, with better prices and quality than what you'd find in the city. Breakfast was good, if not amazing, and there was enough variety to avoid eating the same thing two days running. It's a delightful hotel in an idyllic setting. You can walk through the park or along the lake to Schwerin castle in about 20 minutes. A great spot if you're traveling with a dog. They also have bike rental and a spa, though I can't say from experience how either is. There's a smart self check-in system for late arrivals, and it seems you can book a room at the terminal outside. I arrived early enough that I didn't need to use it.

The price felt a bit high, the floor was cold so we wore slippers, and I personally didn't find the pillow comfortable enough. Even so, this is a great hotel for a Schwerin visit, including the castle and sightseeing. The location is excellent, the rooms are stylish and modern, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The room stayed cool even on a 39 celsius degree day, and we liked the regular international pillows instead of the notorious flat German ones. The concrete and wood design looks great, and the place feels clever and environmentally friendly. It's a forward-looking family hotel in the castle garden beside the lake. Perfect!

The view and location are amazing. Some people may prefer the heart of the city, which I understand, but it's a 17 minute walk or 5 minute drive from the castle and city center. Parking can be a struggle in a city like Schwerin, so this worked well for us. The rooms were clean, and the service in both the restaurant and reception was great. You can see the family owners working alongside the staff. The interior has great art and design, with a two tier theme of bikes and motorbikes. Water is treated as a human right here, and it's free. This is the only place I'll stay whenever I visit Schwerin. I might even come specially for a stress break or weekend. One tip, mosquitoes can bother you at night, so keep the windows closed.
