I booked this room for my mom the day before check-in. By morning, her leg had swollen because of arthritis and she couldn’t walk. I called and emailed to ask for credit or a date change if a refund wasn’t possible, hoping they’d understand. Since it was a last-minute booking and hadn’t been reserved for long, I thought a little consideration in the circumstances wouldn’t hurt, as I’d expect from another hotel. There was no kindness, just a flat refusal.

The staff were amazing and wonderful, and the breakfast and spa facilities were the best. We stayed in the Africa room, one of the best rooms I’ve ever seen for its design and space, with a bathtub in the living room in front of the bed and TV. Wow! A must-stay. You’re all brilliant, thank you so much. See you again soon. 😁😊💖

We’d definitely stay at hotel Steiger again. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the spa was spotless and beautiful, with lots of nice details and a steamroom. Breakfast was plentiful, with ordinary, varied food like little omelettes and "Arme Ritter". We had an outstanding weekend in sebnitz.

Right in the city center, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was lovely, though the doors didn’t really block out noise.
