Breakfast was all right at 7.50 Euro per person, and there’s a large parking lot with no extra charge. The room was clean and the mattresses comfortable. I’d stay at Garni Schwanen again when I’m back in Buggingen. It’s a simple, friendly place. Ask ahead for a room facing the inner courtyard, since it stays quiet there despite the main road nearby.

We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean, the service friendly, and the courtyard restaurant was cute. For what it costs, it’s a great deal, even though it’s no-frills.

The food was amazing, especially the flädesuppe, which I really fell in love with. It’s a lovely, traditional place with a familiar feel.

Passing traffic made it a bit noisy. The place has a clean, modernized 80s style. It’s owned and run by a family, though not all of them seem happy about that.

The breakfast was so-so. Staff were friendly, and the rooms were spacious.
