The only pleasant part was the friendly woman at reception. The hotel and rooms smelled awful, like people had been smoking everywhere, despite the no-smoking signs. Nothing about it felt cosy.

The food is very good, and the packed lunches are good too. On our most recent visit, dinner included Entebrust und Keule, cooked wonderfully. There’s always plenty of everything, and the staff are welcoming and very attentive, even as our study groups get through litres of beer. They speak excellent English, especially Katrin. I’ve stayed here many times with large study groups from England, since Seelow is a familiar stop for British military groups studying the April 1945 fighting at Seelow Heights between the 1st Belorussian Front and the German 9th Army. The one real drawback is that the internet connection STILL doesn’t work, and our staff need it for their work. Otherwise, all is fine, and there’s a Lidl just a few minutes away. Vielen Dank Leute und liebe Grüße - bis zum nächsten Mal

Our group had more than 25 people, and they were very accommodating. The food was amazing, and the service was phenomenal!

The food and service were really great. For a small hotel, it’s well kept.
