The woman who runs Pilgrim haus spoke English and helped us get our bearings in Soest, even helping us reconnect with an old friend from the area. Our German is close to nothing, and all the staff were so kind and helpful. We had a big room with a pretty view, plus a nice restaurant downstairs and a buffet breakfast. The location is good, within walking distance of the town center. We're having a lovely time here, and Pilgrim haus is exactly what we hoped for. The main part of the beautiful building was built sometime in the 130s.

Breakfast is a must here, with a great selection of tasty food and drinks and good options for different diets. The room, an apartment, was big and spacious. It's an old building, so watch your step with kids because of the stairs and uneven surfaces. Staff were very nice, helpful, and accommodating. We had trouble finding parking at first and had to circle around three times. Most TV channels didn't work, but we weren't planning to watch much anyway.

The restaurant is very popular and the food is excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the quaint rooms were clean and tidy. It's a lovely place to stay, right by the wall and a short walk from the center. The staircase up to the rooms is quite steep. Highly recommend.

We only stopped for lunch and didn't stay overnight. The staff were so welcoming and went out of their way to look after us. Exceptional service. The atmosphere was cozy, with plenty of space between tables, and it was surprisingly quiet.

We got takeaway from this restaurant during the Corona lockdown, and the food was excellent. It was nicely plated and still warm when we ate it at home. The staff were very friendly and welcoming too. Highly recommended!
