The town around it is amazing, and the hotel is beautiful. The staff were great too.

There’s a guesthouse as well as the hotel, with rooms for families where you can cook your own meals. The rooms are clean and modern. A nice place to stay.

The breakfast selection was superb, but the rest of the stay was very disappointing. For a four star hotel, it felt a little tired. The single rooms were surprisingly small, there were no fans despite the intense heat, and there was nowhere in the hotel to get an evening drink. It also wasn’t disabled friendly. The service fell short of what we expected, and a new manager seemed to have started that week. Some basic booking errors had been made, though they were sorted out once the manager was called. A coffee machine in the room would have been welcome, something Travelodge has managed.

Parking right next to the building was handy. We also had a hot shower, a removable shower head, and a great breakfast. The surroundings were peaceful in the morning, and a walk around is a nice idea. Our room was in a different building from reception, and at night I initially couldn’t find its entrance. Apart from that, everything was nice.

The staff were exceptional, always efficient as well as friendly and helpful. We had a great long weekend in the Family room as a family of four. The kids had two single beds, and a wall separated their area from ours, where there was a double bed and its own TV. We’ll definitely stay again next time we’re in Soling.
