We chose the Holiday Inn for one night while attending a cutting and knife sharpening class at Wüsthof, just a walk away. It worked perfectly for a short visit: the room was clean and comfortable, the staff welcoming, and the whole stay was easy and convenient.

The breakfast was great, and the hotel itself was nice with welcoming staff. There’s also a self-service cooler stocked with beer where you can tap and pay.

We spent four nights here. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly and ready to help. It’s a fairly quiet spot, with the main roads not too hard to reach.

The hotel has been renovated, and my experience was a really good one. The staff were warm and capable, the room had what I needed, and it stayed quiet at night. Everything was clean and working properly. Breakfast was very nice, definitely better than what I’ve had at IHG Hotels in the US 😁, though perhaps the bar isn’t very high there. Solingen’s downtown is a short walk away, with shops, restaurants, and bars. I’d gladly recommend the place.
