The books on every floor made the house feel welcoming, and we felt at home right away. Our group used three rooms, all comfortable, nicely furnished, and spotless. The owners were warm and very helpful, and parking in the courtyard was easy. There was even a bottle of Sommerach wine waiting in the fridge. A lovely, quiet country house. We’d happily stay again.

Getting around Sommerach on foot was easy, and we rented great bikes from Munch Bike Rental there. Mrs. Schmidt was friendly and ready to help whenever we needed anything, which made us feel so comfortable. The rooms have lovely little details, and breakfast can be brought upstairs or enjoyed in the pretty room downstairs. It’s a beautiful place where you can relax and move around freely. Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic!

It’s a great base for short or longer bike rides in the Main Valley, with a bakery and several restaurants just a 10-minute walk away. The holiday apartments are comfortable and attractive, and the garden is spacious and park-like. The landlady is very friendly and shares useful tips about the area. Highly recommended.

We slept so well in the large room on the top floor, and the duvet was especially comfortable. The room had modern furnishings, and the bicycles available to guests kept us happily riding for several hours. The owner was generous but modest, and looked after us wonderfully. She even offered a small breakfast for a very reasonable extra charge and helped us find a wine tavern open in the off-season. The whole place had a lovely modern style and atmosphere. Everything was perfect, almost too inexpensive. Mrs. Schmitt is a wonderful hostess!

The landlady deserves a special mention for always being friendly and helpful. This is a lovely, roomy country house at the edge of town, with cozy little apartments and a large grounds where you can relax and unwind.
