The hosts were incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming, and I’d definitely return. The large, clean room was very comfortable, and I really enjoyed the patio area. Breakfast was outstanding and served in a lovely setting. Having a parking garage was an added bonus.

The owners made the stay feel personal, and Florian shared stories about the family and the region’s history. We also got helpful details about the local viehscheid (cattle drive), which added to our understanding of the area’s culture. The place felt more like visiting a relative than staying in a hotel, with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere and thoughtful touches. We felt at home and are already hoping to return to the Allgäu on our next vacation. Hotel Schmideler is a great choice if you’re after a homey stay, not just somewhere to sleep.

I really enjoyed the stunning view, and the room was wonderful. The service lady was nice too.
