The meal was the highlight of my whole trip: schnitzel and regattoni with mushrooms, plus lovely wines from the region. I met the chef, who I suppose is also the owner, Thomas Heinicke. I found this little country inn by following Google Maps, looking for somewhere near Frankfurt airport that wasn't a typical commercial hotel. The room was clean and simple, and the restaurant was outstanding. Dinner, one night's stay, and breakfast came to an unbeatable €115. I'll make a point of coming back whenever I'm near Frankfurt.

The staff are really nice, and the hotel is clean and comfortable. It's close to Mainz, though I'd recommend going by car since public transport doesn't offer many options.
