Ferienhaus Eitel

A lovely place for a family outing, with a warm-hearted host.

Top notch.

The garden and toy-filled garage were a real treat for the children, so thank you for that. The apartment itself was a disappointment once we looked beyond the first impression. The bed in the back room creaked loudly whenever anyone moved, and the three of us sleeping there kept waking one another. The bedding was very worn and had several holes, the couch was worn too, and the bench was dirty. Both window blinds had holes, and one didn't work, so I repaired it myself that evening. There was also a hole in the door connecting the bedrooms. Most of the blind strap brackets were loose and attached by just one screw. The toilet seat was broken, and the mug in the children's set for our youngest child was cracked all the way through and leaking. Several defects like these took away from the vacation.

The place has excellent amenities and a great location, especially for kids. It really has everything, from toys and vehicles to a slide. But communication with the host was extremely difficult. We arrived with three small children and had to wait outside for almost four hours because we hadn't received the access code and Mr. Eitel couldn't be reached. That's absolutely unacceptable. Cleanliness was poor too. It seemed like only a quick surface clean had been done, and there was mold and dust when you looked closely.
