I came here twice. The service was polite and helpful, and the food tasted like authentic German cooking to me. There's a good choice of beers too. It's tucked down a side alley off the main street, away from traffic noise, with a nice shaded outdoor area. They only take cash.

Book a table the day before, or on the evening before you go, since there aren't many tables. The atmosphere is great, and the service is friendly. Come hungry, because the local food is excellent and the portions are generous, especially if you like hearty dishes. Salads are available, though I wouldn't bother with them. I used to come here years ago, and it's still as good as ever.

Closed on Mondays, and you’ll need a reservation if you plan to eat here. A real classic wine restaurant for the area, maybe the best.
