I stopped for breakfast during a day trip to the island, and they welcome people who aren’t staying at the hotel too. No booking is needed at the moment, but in peak season you’ll need one or you probably won’t get a table. There’s a broad choice. I arrived late after the ferry and my walk over, and they even baked fresh little rolls just for me. I appreciated that, since it meant I could eat more. The place seems lovely for a holiday, with both apartments and rooms. It’s in a great spot, tastefully decorated, and very idyllic, like everything on the island. I really enjoyed my time there. Spiekeroog feels like an “East Frisian Bullerby” to me. It’s very quiet, with no bike rentals or cars, and everything is so charming and small.
