The room was large for the price in this area, and the host was friendly in person. The mattress in the Murphy bed was good, though there was a wide gap between the mattresses. The decor felt a bit dated. A rolled-up carpet sat in the hallway for three days, and the room's doormat looked like it came from a car mat set, judging by its asymmetrical shape. My email questions went unanswered. I think the host is better at dealing with guests face to face, and the guesthouse seems more suited to older people. Taking the host's in-person friendliness and the room size for the regional price into account, I'd give it a 3 overall, on a 1 to 5 scale where 1 is best.

Everything worked as it should, and it was clean, which mattered most to us. The facilities aren’t the latest, but Mr. Gugl was incredibly helpful.

The staff were friendly, and the traditional food was good. It’s a quiet spot and a handy base for hiking.
