The owner was really polite and helpful, and we had beautiful, clean rooms. There’s lots for kids to enjoy and plenty of places to go for fun. It’s a wonderful place near Sankt Englmar, and I’d highly recommend it.

We found the village within walking distance, and the area is a great base for mountain tours with attractions nearby. Getting to the ski lifts does take some driving. The management responded promptly, and the hosts and staff were warm and friendly, especially the Hungarian ladies and gents from Transylvania. The food was excellent. The rooms are dated, but clean. I’d definitely recommend it.

I was only at the Buglhof for one night on a business trip, but Mr. Bugl made a strong first impression by greeting me casually by name and shaking my hand. You don’t often get that kind of welcome in hotels. Everything else lived up to it: my room and its amenities, the service, dining room, food, and breakfast were all 5-star. It was a lovely, relaxing short stay. Thank you, Mr. Bugl. I’ll definitely come back.

We stopped at the Burglhof by chance while sledding with our three-year-old. The food was tasty and fairly priced, and the service was attentive. We were only there on a day trip, so I can’t say anything about the rooms. The lobby and restrooms were very clean.
