Apartments Lille Hus

We paid almost €1,600 for a week, but the location and service weren't what we expected, so we left after five days without a refund. I wish I'd researched more first. The website made the area sound close to shops, restaurants and cafes, and talked about fresh sea air, a peaceful garden and views of the Westerhever lighthouse. In reality, the apartment is about 30 meters from a main road, and with no air conditioning, opening the window meant hearing traffic. You can see the lighthouse in the distance, but it's somewhere behind the trees. Check the map and routes carefully: the beach and shops are only practical to reach by car or bike, and walking takes a good half hour. I raised what seemed like clear inaccuracies on the website with management, but they acted as if they knew nothing about them. The booking was confusing too. I added a towel package, but it wasn't on the confirmation. I later found an unsigned email in my spam folder saying in small print that towels weren't included, tucked between long paragraphs. I'd missed that and would have complained right away if I'd seen it.

The landlady was really friendly, and the apartment was lovely. Highly recommend it.
