Clean, comfortable, and a pleasant stay.

Great!

We stayed from October 3rd to 6th. The check-in worked as described in the message beforehand, and the coded lockbox key opened the door. Guest information was waiting on the bed. The mattress and bed were okay, but the room was very small and dusty, with thick cobwebs around the bedside table. There was no wardrobe and only one place to sit. In the bathroom, storage was limited to a tiny shelf in the shower, which wasn't enough for two people. There was no shower curtain, so water ended up all over the floor however carefully we showered. The toilet hadn't been cleaned properly, with marks from previous guests still on the toilet paper holder lid. We knew breakfast wasn't included. The booking showed €89, but the confirmation came back at €99 without breakfast. I complained and got confirmation of the €89 price. Another provider had the room for only €82. When I mentioned that, they said extra charges would apply, though that's not the case with this hotel, which I book often. If renovation work is going on, prices should be lower or the hotel should close temporarily. Our room faced the courtyard and was right by the front door, so we heard everything, including construction from early morning and a barking dog. Guests smoked just outside the entrance, and one person came out to smoke at 3 and 4 a.m. The smoke, coughing and other noise carried into the room. We won't stay here again. There are better, cheaper options in town.

Breakfast was plentiful and very good, freshly prepared, and the service there was friendly. In our double room, the glasses had dust on them and upkeep could have been better. There was only one chair, and the glass table felt oversized and like a risk for injuries. Having two single duvets was a plus.
