The rooms were a pleasant surprise: tastefully decorated, clean, quiet, and spacious. The service was friendly, and the spa is within walking distance. For a 3-star hotel, what more could you ask for?

We had a five-star weekend with our extended family and would return. We booked four rooms, which were clean and a good size, and dinner was tasty and filling. Breakfast was generous and well served. The hotel is very close to transit and the Therme, and two very good restaurants, one Asian and one Greek, are just steps away. We enjoyed trying those for a change. One thing we only found out by chance: room service is opt-in. You have to hang the sign by 10 am to request fresh bedding and towels. That was fine for us, but our 88-year-old mother was shocked and disappointed.

The location right by the bahnhof was great. Check-in went smoothly, and the service was really friendly. They spoke English and German with me. The building layout is a little odd, but it works. My room was nice and clean. I personally don't like hotel carpet, and this room had fluffy carpet, though I don't know if that's actually a bad thing. The beds were fresh and comfortable, the TV was big and worked well, and the shower got very hot with great water pressure. The pool and saunas were open. The pool is on the small side but a nice temperature, and there are a couple of interesting resting areas nearby, with three swings and two round openings in the wall. The restaurant was good, and the servers were pleasant. The food took quite a while, about 40 minutes, but it was very good. There were only three menu items to choose from. Compliments to the chef! The price was good too, 19€ for an excellent dinner and dessert. I'd recommend the hotel and restaurant.

The billing was the worst part. I was charged breakfast for two, about 20 EUR per person, even though I hadn’t booked it, wanted it, or eaten it. When I contacted the hotel, they said they couldn’t take it off the bill and told me to pay right away. I tried to pay at reception, but nobody was there or answered the bell. I ended up paying for something I never ordered, which felt really unprofessional. At that price, the hotel costs as much as the Best Western across the street, so I don’t see why I’d choose this one next time. Even getting the room sorted was frustrating. I knew which room I wanted, but it took three attempts with the woman handling the reservation. She seemed unfamiliar with the rooms and the booking system. A task that should have taken two minutes took around 15.
