The staff were super friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were comfortable and spotless. The restaurant on site was good and reasonably priced, with lots of bistros just a few blocks away. This is a quiet village on a picturesque lake, right across the street from the train station. The U-Bahn goes straight into Munich in about 30 minutes, close enough to visit while avoiding the city center's noise, higher prices, tourists, and traffic. There's free hotel parking, so you can drive or take the train from the airport and use Starnberg as a base for Munich and for exploring the countryside, mountains, and forests. I'd definitely stay here again.

The room felt luxurious without being hard on the wallet, and the staff were wonderful, welcoming, and generous. Breakfast was plentiful, and they let us take a travel sandwich. There was an old chocolate-colored stain on the bedsheet, which was surprising but not a big deal, and a friendly spider on the ceiling. Apart from that, we had no complaints. The hotel is also close to all kinds of travel connections in Bavaria.

The breakfast selection was fantastic, and the lake views are great. The south-facing room can get warm in summer, though. There's no air conditioning, just a fan.

It's an old but beautiful hotel. Our room was clean, and the staff were friendly and ready to help or explain anything. Breakfast was included in the reservation, and there was an Italian restaurant in the same building. Street parking in front is free from 6 pm until 9:30 am, and the hotel also has its own parking.
